Summer classes have begun, new students are arriving with their parents for orientation, and kids are finding a cool place to play in the Chi-Omega fountain. Summer is in full swing here on Mount Oread, but you don't have to be in Lawrence to celebrate being a Jayhawk. Check our online calendar for summer events in your area, including Jayhawk Generations Picnics, where area alumni welcome the next generation of Jayhawks to the KU family. If your son or daughter will be attending KU as a legacy student this fall, you can submit his or her name to be included in our Jayhawk Generations online feature. And if you know a child that could be considered a Jayhawk-in-training, sign up for our Jayhawk Generations membership—just for kids. Your future Jayhawk will receive a special birthday card from Baby Jay and an age-appropriate gift each year. It's a great way to stay connected to KU before college.
After graduation, stay in touch with your KU classmates by keeping your record up to date. And while you're here, check out our new online career center for professional networking opportunities and job search strategies. The Alumni Association hosts events nationwide with the help of alumni volunteers. If you don't find a chapter or club in your area, consider starting one yourself. Through our chapter events, summer picnics and other programming, we help you stay connected with KU, even after you leave campus. After all, once a Jayhawk, always a Jayhawk!
